Decorative posters for my office

It seems I’m going to take a little longer to finish writing the post I’ve started on since Sunday (I have the ideas but my mind is so blocked I’m exerting a lot of mental effort to squeeze the ideas out and convert them into words). It is so frustrating when you can’t get the words out. Instead of rushing it, I’ll do something short and fun this week instead so that I could also catch up with others’ blogs. More than a month after changing seats, sad to say, it isn’t any quieter. I’ve been wearing my noise-cancelling headphone but its benefits are curtailed because I still get distracted by movements. Moreover, I can’t just turn up the volume and ignore my surroundings, in case my phone rings, which means noises still leak through. Now that I’m seated in a corner, I feel even more claustrophobic when people stand around beside my desk to talk. I don’t think they get the clue that I’m annoyed. I wish they could just shut up. I wonder if it would be helpful to have these memes printed and pinned to my desk?

*I don’tΒ own any images below.

  1. I’m sorry your office continues to stress you out😿 Maybe you could get a couple tall potted plants (real or fake) to put behind you as like a barrier. Or a three-paneled screen. Orange traffic cones?? It would be nice to create some kind of “buffer zone” to keep people further away. Ask the boss? Suggest work from home again?? Definitely put up the first sign then pick one of the others to lighten it up so people don’t get offended (office politics😑).
    Good luck my friend!!!πŸ’ŒπŸ’ŒπŸ’Œ

    1. Thanks, my friend! I’m sorry it took me so long to respond, it’s probably the weather, my mind seems to be functioning in a hibernating mode πŸ˜‚ ❄️
Unfortunately, there won’t be enough space for me to get a three-paneled screen or plotted plant to create a barrier, that’s how confined we are 😹 But after looking at the responses, I will definitely look into getting some signage for my desk πŸ“΅ πŸ“Œ πŸ’Œ

  2. I agree with the previous commenters, especially King Ben’s Grandma πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘πŸΌ. Office politics are so BS and it’s so unfortunate that they’re the facts of life that they are. I’m sorry it’s taking such a toll. So much unnecessary Extra Stuff to deal with πŸ’œ I love these signs! I’m so sorry that the environment is such that they’re needed in the first place, but I’m glad you thought of them and yes, I would totally use them! Maybe add a handwritten “Thank You” or something to assuage any easily-ruffled feathers πŸ˜‰πŸ˜ŠπŸ’–πŸŒ·

    1. Thanks my luv.❀️ Sorry, I’ve been a bit slow in my replies. I’m glad you love these signs, I was only contemplating but I’m starting to think it could be fun to have one of these signs put up to see if that would make any difference, it’d be my own social experiment lol 😜 I especially love the ones with cats, they would probably just think I put it up because I love cats (that’s not a secret 😺 😸 😹 😻 ).

      1. No worries, my pretty ❀️. I completely understand–and can relate to–the late reply thing πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‚. I like the idea of the social experiment! πŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌ. The ones with the cats are total gold 😁. It keeps things light while effectively getting the point across – the perfect balance πŸ‘πŸΌπŸ’“. And besides – cats rule! πŸ€—πŸ˜½πŸ˜»πŸ±πŸ±πŸ˜β€οΈ
